M-Lite REVO

The M-Lite REVO is an innovative DIY rehousing kit that transforms your Canon EOS-M into a professional cinema camera. Designed to withstand the toughest conditions, it features a built-in cooling system and an integrated power solution.

At launch, the REVO is accompanied by a comprehensive ecosystem of carefully designed 3D-printed and CNC-machined accessories, allowing you to customize your setup to suit any workflow. With over 1080 unique build configurations, the REVO adapts to your creative needs effortlessly.

You’ll need to start with a first generation Canon EOS M camera. They are easy to find on online sites such as Ebay and Facebook Marketplace. You’ll also need to download the free Magic Lantern alternative software for the EOS M. We prefer the “Crop Mood” and “Danne” versions for improved performance tailored specifically to the EOS M. if you’ve never used Magic Lantern before, there are many online tutorials to get you started. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but once you get it running you’ll be amazed at the new potential from this forgotten little camera!

You’ll also need a battery compatible with Sony’s NP-F standard. We like the large models (750 or 970) for increased runtime. There are many low-cost options for NP-F batteries available worldwide.

We've refined every aspect of the M-Lite REVO build to be as user-friendly as possible. Hundreds of happy users of all skill levels have successfully built the original M-Lite and are shooting with it every day. We’ve created an easy to follow build tutorial video to guide you through every step.

For the M-Lite REVO we've created a special "Button Extension" module that simplifies the most challenging part of the original build. We've simplified the overall build experience, and have made it simple to power the entire camera system from one NP-F style battery (not included).

The kit includes every tool you’ll need, so you can start shooting RAW video in a professional cine camera body in no time. All you need is a Canon EOS-M body, a recommended SD card for Magic Lantern RAW shooting, an NP-F battery, and a lens.

Yes! Our design allows you completely return the EOS-M back to its stock form if needed. While the M-Lite REVO build is a straightforward, it does involve some disassembly of your original EOS - M camera, so take your time and follow the guidelines carefully.

Absolutely! We use cutting-edge materials and advanced processes to create incredibly robust components. Wherever extra durability is needed, we incorporate in-house CNC-machined parts to push strength even further.

The USB-C charge input is primarily designed for charging. While you can power the REVO using an external battery (such as a V-Mount or power bank), doing so will disable the NP-F plate's outputs (fan, 12V, and D-Tap). However, it will still keep the camera powered.

Yes! We have an official Facebook group and Discord where builders exchange progress updates, troubleshooting advice, and ideas. It’s a great place to get inspired, fine-tune your build, and discuss Magic Lantern.

We produce the REVO in limited batches by hand, and ensure every unit passes our stringent quality control tests. We will periodically announce via our mailing list and social media when a fresh batch is available to order via our website. Everything is manufactured and assembled in-house in the Czech Republic, and we’re ramping up our production output as soon as possible.
